A slightly different variation of a cameo pin. Instead of the traditional oval, this carving is formatted on a rectangular piece of shell. The carving depicts cupid courting Psyche with his flutes. The edges of the frame are beautifully milgrained. A row of pave set diamonds create a border all around with larger, bezel set diamonds punctuating the four corners. The total diamond weight is 1.10ct of overall G color and VS2 clarity. Measures 15/16 of an inch high by 1 1/8 inches wide. It is a great size for a lapel pin as well as a lady's brooch. On the back is stamped 750 (for 18K gold) and 110 (for the total diamond weight). Gross weight 12.4 grams.
