Russian Empire Period Jeweled Double Eagle Brooch with Large Peridot & Diamonds
Russian Empire Period Jeweled Double Eagle Brooch with Large Peridot & Diamonds
This amazing vintage platinum Russian Empire period brooch was deftly crafted depicting a double headed eagle holding a royal scepter with his right talon and a royal orb in his left. A Russian monarch would seat himself on the throne during the final ritual of the Russian coronation ceremony, holding the royal scepter in his right hand and the royal orb in his left.
Set in the center is one very fine quality Russian peridot weighing approximately 15.75ct. A current AGL certificate stating that the peridot has not been enhanced in any way, is shown in the last photo of this listing. The entire piece is heavily diamond encrusted with Old Mine cut diamonds having a total approximate weight of 2.75ct and an overall quality of G/H color and VS2 clarity. The eyes are set with vivid rubies. Measures 1.07 inches by 1.69 inches. There are no markings on the brooch, but it tests as platinum. Gross weight 20.55 grams.
