This classic pair of 18k gold, Akoya pearl and diamond earrings was crafted, presumably in Italy, and then imported and sold in France during the middle of the 20th century. Each oval shaped earring measures 1 1/4 inches by 1 1/8 inches and is gently domed. All expert gold work is in the manner if twisted rope. and each round brilliant cut diamond is set securely in a four prong white gold head. The twenty four diamonds have a total approximate weight of 1.00ct and are of overall G color and Vs1 clarity. Pearls are of excellent sphericity, cream rose color and medium to high luster. Markings on the reverse side are the stamping for import to France, 750 indicating 18k gold, PSN in diamond silhouette and E 87, indicating the manufacturers model number. Equipped with fold down clip backs with posts. Gross weight 34.15 grams.
