This massive and striking 18K yellow gold Italian choker necklace was manufactured during the Mid-20th Century, to the very highest standards of the gold crafting art. It is finished on all of it's frontal surfaces with a deeply chiseled, hammered finish. The entire reverse side is finished in a pierced gold gallery, which assures a comfortable fit. At the widest point in front, measuring 1 1/4 inches, this item creates an imposing presence when worn. It opens at the front and is hinged at the rear, allowing for ease of putting it on and taking it off. The necklace is made to comfortably fit a medium size neck. Inside circumference measures 16 inches. Markings are 750 indicating 18K gold, the workshop mark, and the makers logo. Gross weight 240 grams.
