Great detail work is exemplified in this vintage piece. The 15mm cabochon, natural turquoise center is surrounded by 8 old mine cut diamonds, which in turn, are surrounded by graceful, diamond set fluorishes. Together, this creates a sparkling flower design. Diamonds on the top are set in platinum. The 8 larger stones weigh approximately 2.50ct, and the balance of the diamonds weigh approximately 1.00ct, for a total approximate weight 3.50ct of overall I/J color and VS2/Si1 clarity. The hand made gallery on the back of the ring is deftly fashioned in 18K yellow gold. There are two small, bezel set, round brilliant cut diamonds (one on each side) that are visible from the side view. A lovely touch that was likely added to the original ring.
