This particular American Cartier necklace is truly an expressive "Iconic Style" from the Retro Period. The snake link is bombe on the front and on the back, which gives a more substantial presence than a flat link type of necklace. One additional feature is that the necklace can be worn either with the clasp in the front or in the rear. Fits a small neck size. Measures 15 1/2 inches long by 3/8 inch wide. The back of the clasp is stamped Cartier, 14K, the maker's mark, and the number 1714. Gross weight 92 grams.
