This 18K yellow gold Judith Ripka neo-classical style brooch features a two piece design. When combined together, the two pieces measure 2“ x 2“. The pin at the top can be separated from the heart at the bottom simply by opening the flip clasp on the back and removing the bottom piece. The pin is set with 12 diamonds and with cabochon rubies serving as the end caps. The top pin measures 1/2” wide by 2" long. The heart on the bottom is set with 8 diamonds and with a round mother of pearl cameo of a soldier's head in profile. It measures 1 1/4”inches by 1 1/8 inches. The heart serves as a pendant that can be clipped onto the pin above or onto an open link necklace. In total, the 20 diamonds weigh approximately 1.25ct of overall G/H color and VS2/SI1 clarity. Stamped Judith Ripka 18K on the back of the flip clasp. Gross weight 33.8 grams.
